Our company story

Our company has been operating since 2004. First, we started running the operations of Savottakahvila Möhkön Manta. At the same time, nature services also ran side by side, which eventually received a prefix in line with the Möhkön Manta ship and became Mantan Nature Services. In 2010, we purchased the newer elementary school building in Möhkön from the municipality of Ilomantsi, a log-built school built in 1928. Unafraid of the work, we embarked on a renovation project as winter work. The project has progressed, slowly but surely, and we have gone through and renovated the building corner by corner. Little by little, the school has become the Mantan Inn, which currently serves as the heart and base of our operations.

After twenty years of operation, an era in our operations came to an end when we decided to give up the operations of Savottakahvila Möhkön Manta in the autumn of 2023. When one door closes, more time is left for other sectors and the development of Mantan Majatalo and Nature Services continues.

You could say that trying and doing things with our own hands is a way of life for us and in our operations we want to maintain the fact that customers are also our guests and we want each of our guests to feel welcome at our place.
