Mantan Nature Services offers nature services based on authentic experiences and teamwork in the village of Möhkö in Ilomantsi. Our company is based in the Mantan Inn in Möhkö, but our area of operation is the entire Ilomantsi, as well as several nature tourism destinations around Finland.

If you dare to stop - you can get close to nature

Nature is an important foundation of our operations. It is at the same time the environment we head to on our trips, but it is also a treasure trove that offers us an inexhaustible source of resources. On our trips, we want to offer our guests the framework and opportunity to calm down and discover a sensitivity to nature. The cornerstones of our operations are safety and customer-oriented service. Through our services, we want to offer everyone an equal opportunity to experience authentic nature. Our services include various full-service nature trips, holidays and courses, as well as recreational day packages, the duration of which varies from a few-hour local area trip to week-long holiday packages.

The content of our services is built on working together and participating. We do authentic nature activities together, including fishing, mushroom picking, berry picking, hiking, water activities, overnight stays and outdoor meals.

The goal of our activities is to offer empowering nature experiences that take a break from everyday life for a while and to offer our customers the opportunity to increase their sensitivity to nature and find their own relationship with nature.

In the services provided to special groups, we work closely with many different national associations and organizations.

In the Ilomantsi area, we have a nature base in the wildly beautiful Jänissaari of Lake Nuorajärvi. In the summer, transfers take place by water on a flat-bottomed pontoon boat or by kayaking. In the winter, admiring the scenery from a snowmobile sled, skiing or snowshoeing.

Eastern Camp School

Idän leirikoulu offers its services in Ilomantsi, North Karelia. Our camp schools are based on comfortable accommodation, tasty food and a diverse range of functional programs based on local strengths.

Jänissaari Nature Base

The Manta Nature Services nature base is located on Jänissaari Island in Nuorajärvi, 10 kilometers from Möhkö. It is a good place to stay overnight in the sheltered resting place of our trips, listening to the song of the wind in the old trees of the island.
